Hey guess what?
Today is me and Mark’s 4 year wedding anniversary. That’s what the number 4 and wood reference was alluding to in yesterday’s post. HOWEVER, I was completely mistaken that the traditional 4 year anniversary gift is wood. Get this– it’s fruit/flowers. Next year is wood. #mybad
Mark was in charge of making anniversary plans this year (we switch off on who makes the plans every other year). Most of the day is business-as-usual (unloading the dishwasher, packing lunches, and going to work) but tonight, he is having some food catered to his family’s beach condo for a sweet, beach-front dinner and we’re going to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch at sunset. We’re both leaving our phones at home and simply enjoying each other’s company for the evening. It’s pretty much my perfect way of spending our anniversary.
For the sake of not getting too mushy, I will keep this short and sweet…
Mark is an amazing blessing to my life. He makes me laugh every day, supports & encourages all my big, scary dreams and ambitions, and is truly my wise, kind, and extremely generous best friend. I couldn’t love this man more!
Cheers to 4 years of being with a man who is “sweeter than my solitude.”
