5 Unconventional, Health-Related Gift Ideas

November 22, 2013

Hello hello!

I DO NOT do the Black Friday shopping thing. I might take advantage of a couple of deals online but I’m afraid of getting trampled. And seeing people I know look like deal-crazed zombies that try to chew my arm off in order to get that last, marked-down pair of socks. Plus, I don’t do anything at 2am or whatever ridiculous hour people are out saving $15% on TVs.

If you’re in the same boat with me, I have come up with some pretty awesome gift ideas that you can order from the comfort of your home, you won’t blow a ton of money on, and they’re all beneficial to yours or the gift-receiver’s health. Win-win-win!

#1) The EveryDrop Water Filter by Whirlpool ($20):  An on-the-go water filter that’s just as good for filtering water out of the water fountain at the gym as it is on the way out the door to work in the morning. It comes with a travel case so it goes where you do!health-related gift ideas: every drop filter

#2) Tonx ($12-$34):  A membership-based coffee delivery service that, in their own words, “…take(s) coffee pretty seriously. That’s why they scour the globe for the best beans available, roast them to perfection, and ship them directly to you. Become a Tonx member to get first dibs on our limited releases, access to the member store, and brew tips from our team of coffee geeks and experts.” Ranging from $12-$34 per shipment and also offering varying sizes and frequency of coffee delivery- I think this is an awesome gift idea for a quality coffee connoisseur.

#3) Epic bars ($34 for 12): Snack perfection! “The EPIC bar is a 100% grass-fed animal based protein bar designed as nature intended. Paleo friendly, gluten free, and low in sugar..”

#4) Wake Up Work Out Alarm Clock ($30): Get in a quick workout the moment you wake up. Use your groggy rage to push those first 30 curls in the morning as this is the ONLY way that you are able to shut off the alarm. Motion sensors inside can tell exactly how many reps you’ve done and only if you do them right.

#5) Lavendar Scented Pillow ($80): “The Lavender Scented Pillow utilizes an infusion of natural lavender essence to lull you to deep, delicious sleep. A replaceable dried lavender bud sachet lets you boost the soothing smell whenever you choose. The dual sided core has two sleep surfaces to suit your needs. On one side granulated latex offers a down-like feel with support- on the other a solid latex pillow core ensures springy cushioning that won’t pack down. With a pure virgin NaturaWool lining to wick away moisture and keep your pillow fresh and dry.”

Oh my gosh. I really want a lavender scented pillow. That just sounds so luxurious.

Well, I actually want everything on this list.

…I’m out of words and time…I gotta go enjoy the weekend.

Love to you all!
