Before Company Comes, I Hide The Guinea Pig

July 30, 2015

I’m something like 100 months pregnant. It’s really flipping hot. My brain is not thinking straight; I have 133 things to do and no energy to do them…so you get this post:

Household chore I actually enjoy: Organizing things. I really like putting order among chaos. (Except when it comes to our garage…see below!) Cabinets, drawers, refrigerator, spreadsheets, it doesn’t matter. Organization is my jam.

Biggest house disaster: Our garage. Half-unpacked boxes, random things that we didn’t know we had until we moved, extra furniture, lawn equipment…ugh. The amount of frustration and anxiety our garage gives me is off the charts.

Before company arrives, I hide: The guinea pig. Well..sometimes. If I know that you love Otis, he stays “out.” Not everyone is a guinea pig person (I get it, we’re cool!) so, for now, if I know that you’re not feelin’ the guinea pig, I put him in the nursery and out of sight. When the baby comes, Otis will probably get moved into Mark’s Man Cave when we have company.

Most recent music download: It’s been awhile since I’ve downloaded music. I’m more of a Spotify person. I made a “Labor Playlist” the other day (does that count?).

The last thing I bought online: This Red Raspberry Leaf supplement! I want efficient contractions, dang it!

I hate to shop for: Tires and appliances

Favorite family ritual: Making bacon, eggs and Paleo pancakes with Mark after Fit Camp every Saturday!

I sleep in: T-shirt and undies.

I have style crush on: Katrina Scott

I’m currently reading: I just finished reading a bunch of pregnancy books. Now I’m just mindlessly flipping through magazines. I don’t want to get wrapped up in a new book quite yet…mostly because when the baby comes, I doubt I’ll ever have time to finish it.

What’s up with the ________ trend? Claw-like nails. You know the ones shaped like talons? I don’t get it…

How did I ever live without… A Roomba! It’s the best thing that Mark and I have ever purchased for our home!

That was fun.

Time to be productive!
