On a few of the blogs that I regularly follow, I’ve seen this survey floating around. Since I’ve been on vacation and am getting back into the swing of real life, I wanted to do something light and fun…so here goes!
Food & Fitness Survey:
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
On the morning that I wrote this post, I had a veggie and ham omelet, grits, and fresh fruit. It was all soooooo good! (Thanks Mom!)
2. How much water do you drink a day?
Without fail, I drink 1 gallon of water every day. Some days though, especially now that it’s hot, I drink a gallon and then some. So I would say now I average around 85-90 oz. of water every day.
3. What is your current favorite workout?
I’m really loving my tabata workouts. I have been super pressed for time these last couple of weeks so it has been nearly impossible for any gym time in addition to my Fit Camp classes. Doing a handful of 4 minute workouts throughout the day makes me feel less guilty for missing the gym and actually keeps me energized throughout the day.
4. How many calories do you eat a day?
Most days, I have no idea the exact number, but I know it’s between 1300-1600. I don’t count calories very often but when I do, I use MyFitnessPal to log foods and keep track of my macros.
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
Right now I’m loving baby carrots and wedges of Laughing Cow cheese, watermelon, celery and almond butter, pistachios and Craisins, and Greek yogurt with mixed berries.
6. What do you usually eat for lunch?
95% of the time, I eat leftovers from dinner the night before. The other 5% of the time, without fail, I eat a fresh salad, a few slices of smoked turkey, and an apple with 2 tbsp. almond butter with unsweetened shredded coconut sprinkled on top.
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
Legs! Legs! Legs! I’ve always had strong legs so leg workouts usually come easy to me!
8. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
The inner and outer thighs. All of the exercises for these areas kill me!
9. What are your bad food cravings?
Even though I’m not crazy about the labeling of food as “bad food,” I know what this question is essentially asking. I crave fast food from time to time and I’m always game for some frozen yogurt and lots of sweet and salty toppings.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
Yes! I know some people aren’t big believers in supplements, but I think if the supplement is high quality, it’s all good.
I take Mercola Women’s Krill Oil (mix of fish oil and Evening Primrose Oil), Vitamin C, Zinc, a very low dose of iron, biotin, Vitamin D3 oil (it’s in a liquid form!), B12, and Folinic Acid.
11. How often do you eat out?
Since both me and Mark’s families live close to us and are both very large, it’s always someone’s birthday, anniversary, graduation, or some other event to celebrate so we mostly eat out for an occasion with the family. We average roughly 1-2 times every week.
12. Do you eat fast food?
On occasion– see this post. If I had to give you a time frame, I’d say once every 3 months or so.
13. Who is your biggest supportor?
My hubby- always, always, always! But my parents and closest friends come in a close second!
14. Do you have a gym membership?
I sure do! But truthfully, I could manage without it.
15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
8 hours. Always. I can manage with 7 1/2 but any less than that and I am not a fun person to be around.
16. Do you have a cheat day?
I guess you could say every day is a “cheat” day for me! If I want a cookie, I’ll have a bite or two. I don’t really have a day where I only eat “cheat foods,” but I try not to be uber restrictive on a daily basis either.
17. Do you drink alcohol?
Yes, but in general I limit it to one night (maybe two depending on what I have going on) per week. My homemade mojito is my absolute favorite.
18. Do you have a workout buddy?
Since I mostly workout in a class setting, I have lots of workout buddies! I love my Fit Camp family!!!
19. What is the best thing that has changed since you committed to a healthy lifestyle?
I have so much more confidence in myself. I feel better about myself and have a healthy self-image which I can translate into my day-to-day dealings with life. Also, especially throughout the last 2 years, I’ve come to the realization that if I put the time and effort into something, I can do almost anything.
20. What was the last healthy thing you did?
I belly laughed with Mark and my brother and sister-in-law for a solid 2 hours.
Happy National Chocolate Pudding Day! <— Have you tried this healthier version??!
