Hydro-Inertia Training: Say, What?!

February 3, 2017

Every Friday for the past month, I have been participating in Five Move Friday using a couple of really incredible fitness products from Hedstrom Fitness.

These funky workout weights are essentially providing resistance and stabilization in my workout by using water! Hence, where the term “hydro-inertia” training comes in!

The Surge and Kamagon Ball are filled with water (which also means that you adjust the weight: more water= more weight!), which is constantly in motion when the products are in use. This allows the user to “train integrated, multi-joint, multi-planar movements to not only enhance appearance, but to also increase whole body coordination and neuromuscular compliance.”

I have loved using this equipment and can definitely feel why hydro inertia training is so effective. I felt every muscle in my body working to keep the Surge stable during squats and overhead presses. And, oh my gosh– side planks with an overhead extension using the Kamagon– my shoulders were on FIRE!

To me, these products make AMAZING foundations if you’re looking for easily storable, portable, multi-use workout equipment! I also plan to pack my Kamagon Ball on some upcoming trips! Since the ball is practically weightless without it being filled with water, it is incredible easy to bring with me for portable, in-hotel-room workouts!

Hedstrom Fitness offering Funky Fork readers a discount code for 25% off all Surge/Kamagon products! The code is SPHF25, and it is valid until February 28th, 2017.
