So, a sweet woman at my office donated her barely used juicer to me yesterday! On occasion, Mark and I have looked at buying one but then decide not to because they’re relatively pricey and we wouldn’t be using it more than once or twice per week. This woman wanted a good home for her juicer where it would be used– and my home fit the bill!
I couldn’t wait to get home and start trying out some juices. Since it was our first try, we started basic: just an apple, some kale, and half of a cucumber. It was deeeeelicious!
I’m in love with Whole Food’s Green Lemonade so that’s what’s on the menu for next time.
I got the recipe from Whole Living:
- 1/2 chopped lemon
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 chopped cucumber
- 2 cored and chopped sweet apples
I can’t wait to try it!
I have something else cool to share, too! Based around my recent blog posts about them, WellnessFX featured me on their homepage! I’m shocked/grateful/happy 🙂 🙂 🙂
Tomorrow’s the big “18 on 18” competition that I’ve been talking about a lot lately. I’m excited but nervous and a little anxious all at the same time. I’m friends with all the people who I’m competing against, so not matter what the outcome of the competition is, I’ll get a great workout and hang with my friends all day. Can’t beat that!
Since we have to be at the competition at 8:30am, I’m bringing some Paleo Cinnamon Chocolate Swirl Banana Bread, another Civilized Caveman creation, to share. This means that I’m going to be spending most of my afternoon making the banana bread and some Paleo Not-ella. I’ll post some pictures tonight or tomorrow.
