Random Rambles: A Wrist Injury, Messy Kitchens, and Flywheel Sports

April 29, 2013

Eeeeek. I had a serious case of the Mondays today.

I’m sleepy, have a relentless sweet tooth, and am a bit cranky. What gives?!

So, I’m in the mood to ramble a bit…

Random Ramble #1: Injuries are super annoying and super frustrating. I fell off the ski lift (on the part that you’re supposed to gently glide from) on one of my last runs in Jackson Hole. In order to break my fall, I put my hand down and somehow overextended my wrist in the wrong direction. In day-to-day life, it doesn’t hurt and I can’t even tell anything is wrong. In Fit Camp, however, it’s a whole other story. I have been working on my handstand holds, going heavier on my shoulder presses, and we always do a ton of L-sits and push ups. Now, these exercises are incredibly painful. UGH! I’m extremely blessed to be in a healthy physical condition, and I know there are people out there who would love to only have some wrist pain, but geez louise, this is bumming me out.

Random Ramble #2: Why don’t kitchens clean themselves? I mean, sometimes I can crank up the music and clean up our kitchen like it’s what I was born to do. Some days, though, Today was one of those days.

Random Ramble #3: I’m very, very, very, very, very excited to go to  Flywheel Sports this weekend in Atlanta. They offer spin and barre classes and I’ve heard nothing but shiny, wonderful reviews about their classes and facilities. The place is always packed and almost all of their classes sell out <—this is good, right?! Mixing up my workout routine with new classes, that I don’t normally take, gets me fired up and I tend to push myself extra hard. I can’t wait!

I just returned from Fit Camp and need dinner and a shower in the worst way.

Peace and love.
