If you could be given ANY gift what would it be?
Right now, the cookbook Gather— it’s so beautiful!! If someone gifted me with my dream house, I would take that too.
What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why?
Mark and I recently saw “Olympus Has Fallen.” While it was an overall predictable movie, it was highly disturbing to watch our country be so quickly overrun by militant terrorists. The violence and hate against Americans was hard for me to watch.
There is also a scene in the show “Breaking Bad” where Jessie’s girlfriend does heroin. After “doing” heroin, she is sleeping on her back and, because she is so high, does not wake up as she starts to vomit- the scene ends with her drowning in her own vomit. Again, this was really hard for me to watch.
Whats your favorite way to wake up and whats the first thing you do?
The smell of bacon frying is my favorite smell to wake up to!
I always put my contacts in my eyes, first thing when I wake up.
Whats the most embarrassing CD you’ve ever owned and do you still have it?
Definitely the Jesse McCartney CD that I used to secretly jam out to in my car on the way to school. I tossed the CD a while ago…and now my secret’s out!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
I don’t see it, but all the time I get told that I look just like Anne Hathaway.
If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with?
I would go to Bora Bora in French Polynesia with Mark. We had planned to take our honeymoon there…then never went on a honeymoon..
What’s your favorite professional sports team and why?
I love the Jacksonville Jaguars. How can you not love your hometown team? My husband is also a HUGE fan, so anything that makes him that happy I’m definitely a fan of!
What’s the strangest talent that you have?
Mom and Dad- I know you’re reading this so you will be the only people who will get this, but I can “pop” my bellybutton. I used to do it when I was little and couldn’t sleep….don’t ask…it’s weird…
Who have been your life-long friends?
Ashley: My sweet, fun-loving, gorgeous friend from middle school. We became really close in high school when we were both co-captains on the dance team and have stayed close ever since.
Krystie: She was my fun-loving, silly, beautiful, “foreign” roommate in college. She grew up in Germany on a military base but went to American schools and is verrrrry American in every way. We lived together for about 2 1/2 years of college and were in each other’s weddings. We have, sadly, lost touch through life. I miss her and think about her often, she is very special to me!
Sarah: Sarah is stunningly beautiful, smart, and very nurturing! We first became friends in youth group at our church in 6th grade and, pretty much, grew up together. My family considers her part of the family as her family does with me. She is now married with 3 precious kids and doesn’t have much friend time- but when she does, we become very nostalgic– we laugh at old inside jokes, talk about how much our lives have changed since high school, and plain n’ simply enjoy each other’s company.
Carli: I’ve known Carli the longest of all of my life-long friends! She’s exceptionally smart, goofy- funny and beautiful (she has AMAZING hair!). We were in 4th or 5th grade when Harry Potter started gaining popularity, so we would run around her neighborhood for hours pretending we were various characters in Harry Potter. We played on the same soccer team together for a solid 5 years and practically lived at each other’s houses while growing up. She’s now a doctor (I told you she was smart!) and lives in Virginia. We don’t speak or hang out too often, but when we do, it’s like we never skipped a beat!
Sometimes these little question and answer thingies are fun.
Enjoy your day and be blessed! xo
