Sunday Is For Resting

Today is Sunday, which means that I survived Saturday! 😀

The 18 on 18 is complete and it was AMAZING! 

My hat is off to my good friends Brandon and Jessica who worked hard planning and pulling off the event. 25 athletes competed in a 5 heat, 3 WOD competition. Everything went seamlessly, everyone had a blast and there was a noticeable positive and enthusiastic energy around the entire gym during the competition. I would definitely call that a success!

I ALSO completed 7 unassisted, unbroken pull-ups after the competition! Jessica encouraged me to do some What’s Beautiful pull-up goal practice and I actually did 7! 7???? Where did that come from!? I’ve never done that many unbroken pull-ups in my life!

Needless to say that Mark and I were exhausted when we returned home, so we threw together some salads and went straight to the neighborhood pool. Mark’s cousin is our neighbor and happened to be at the pool too, so we hung out with her for a while, soaked up some Vitamin D, then headed back inside for showers and some foam roller time.

Today, Sunday, we are taking it easy.  Laundry, a little cleaning, studying (more on this soon!), and a lot of relaxing are on the agenda. I’m a little sore and a lot tired. The official Day of Rest is on.
