So, I jumped up and down a lot today. You may say, “but Amy, it’s only 10am, you couldn’t have jumped up and down that much.” And you’re right. I probably only jumped up and down for a total of 30 minutes…but still…
Now that we’ve gotten that awkward, conversation from inside my head out of the way– I am jumping a lot because my Kitchen Aid mixer comes today! Mark broke down and bought me one when we came across a deal that we couldn’t refuse. It’s pretty much the most exciting thing that we’ve purchased in a looooooooooooong time. AND it’s coming just in time for Thanksgiving!!
As I write this blog post, I am going to town on the most phenomenal Overnight Oats (I’m telling ya- adding White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter and Co. peanut butter to anything makes it incredible!). This is about the time I wish someone had invented “taste-o-vision” so that I could spoon some of this deliciousness right into your mouth…through the computer. I just weirded myself out by writing that.
Next in line in my line of random thoughts is– have you “checked in” with your goals or did you stop pursuing them by February 1? A close friend of mine came to me the other day looking overwhelmed and said “I’m a failure. Look at all the goals I set for myself this year and I didn’t even accomplish half of them.” Then she waved her scrap piece of paper in my face. Although my immediate reaction was to point and laugh (just kidding!!), I reassured her that she was certainly no failure. Working hard toward something but not getting to the end result on your timeline is nothing to be ashamed of. I think God is constantly giving us little reminders that, at the end of the day, he’s still in control! So be patient and keep pushing and working hard! If you have accomplished some big things this year- I want to hear about it all! Tell me! Tell me! (SIDE NOTE: I’m going to be hosting a goal-setting workshop in December, so if you’re a local and want to do some big things with your 2014, please come! I’ll give more info on this soon!)
One last random thing from my brain– do yourself a favor and get your blood tested. Find out if anything in your body is “off” or if something can be fixed in order to prevent a health problem in the future. Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that I am a HUGE supporter of WellnessFX. They’re an amazing company with an even more amazing mission of raising your awareness of your own health! I’ve had my blood tested by them twice, read my posts about it here and here. I have never been paid or asked to write anything for them, they’re just simply awesome! Get a free $10 credit toward your first blood draw with this link (create a free account and put something in your cart- the credit will automatically show).
