Little Green Pouches– I really enjoy making food for Hudson. When we’re particularly busy, I still throw a pureed food pouch into his diaper bag for an on-the-go snack or feed him a pouch when our lunch or dinner is not entirely Hudson-friendly. (Not to say I don’t buy food pouches, but I much prefer making his food when I have the time.) These pouches make it really easy to make a bunch of different combinations week-to-week. They are easy to use, BPA-free, and you can throw them in the dishwasher (score!). I highly recommend them!Happy Baby Happy Creamies– Probiotic yumminess! Hudson gobbles these up. They don’t make a mess (HUGE win!) and are fun finger food with health benefits. Yes! Yes! Yes!
Bumbo Seat (with a tray!)– a family member let us borrow their’s, we loved it so much that we ultimately ended up buying our own… and it’s one of the top things I recommend to every mom. It’s extremely portable, easy to clean, doesn’t move if you put it on a counter like we do a lot of the time when we’re cooking/cleaning (the rubber on the bottom keeps it in place) and your baby can use it until he/she is 3 years old!Random Stuff:
Salvation Army Donation Pick-Up– You clean out your closets/cabinets/garage/etc. and they pick up your stuff…seriously, how did I just find out that they do this?!
Clean Closets– I’ve been cleaning out 1 of the closets in our house every week for a few weeks now. I only have one more left to do! I LOVE to simplify and organize, so this process is therapeutic for me!
Family walks to get dessert– On Friday nights you can often find me, Mark, and Hudson taking a walk around our neighborhood then down the street to Publix for some sort of fun treat. Lately, we’ve trying different types of really dark chocolate. For a while we were on an ice-cream kick…I just enjoy being outside with my guys, but dessert isn’t a bad part of the deal either! 😉
Being Back on Track at the Gym– I’m almost 10 months postpartum and finally back to working out at the really high intensity and heavy weights that I enjoy. It is humbling to have to give my body 10 months to return to my pre-baby abilities, yet so amazing that our bodies heal and go (mostly) back to normal after growing and birthing a human!
Califia Farms Cold Brew Almond Milk Espresso– It’s all in the name. This is really, really tasty stuff. Our little town is SERIOUSLY lacking health food stores so we resort to buying our Califia products at Target! (I also love their coffee creamer!!)
Charcuterie Boards– Mark and I have been loving a little meat and cheese (and figs and honey!) to snack on while we’re throwing together dinner. Dairy sometimes makes me feel yucky so I try not to eat too much of it (keyword is try), but Mark’s cheese game has been very strong. He purchased a mix of cheeses that I’ve never heard of and they are all SOOOOOO good!
Waffles with almond butter & blueberries and eggs– I’ve been on a waffle and egg kick and have been eating this exact combo for breakfast for something like 5 mornings in a row now. So, so good, filling, and satisfying! (I buy frozen Van’s Gluten Free Blueberry Waffles…and continue to long for a waffle iron! 😉 )
That’s all I’ve got for today!
I’m off to clean up after a very busy Hudson! Unrolling toilet paper, unscrewing knobs, closing and opening doors a million times in a row, splashing toilet water, and climbing into the tub/shower are among his favorite things to do these days. He’s exploring, tasting, and touching EVERYTHING! It’s both fun and tiring…cheers to cute, busy babies!
